About the event
About the artist: Molly Martin (b. 1998, Springfield, MO) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work treats line as drawing and sculpture. She constructs wall-based collages and suspended sculptures that loop and tangle through space, exploring tension, improvisation, and the unpredictable behavior of materials. She earned her BFA in Drawing from Missouri State University and MFA from the University of Arkansas, where she teaches in the Art Foundations Program as a post-grad Teaching Fellow. Her work has been exhibited nationally with organizations including Chautauqua Visual Arts, Surface Design Association, Southeast Fiber Alliance, and Studio Break in West Chicago. She is included in the Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts Artist 2025-2027 Registry and will attend a summer 2026 residency at the Vermont Studio Center.
