About the Artist
Minahil Qazi (she/her) is a Pakistani-born interdisciplinary artist currently pursuing her MFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking at the University of Arkansas. With a background in textile design and a strong foundation in traditional craft practices, Qazi brings a culturally informed and environmentally conscious perspective to her work.
Before beginning her graduate studies, she collaborated with women artisans in Pakistan’s slow fashion industry, contributing to international projects that supported ethical labor and sustainable design. These early experiences continue to shape her practice, inspiring her to integrate traditional techniques with contemporary printmaking methods.
Qazi’s work has been recognized for its innovative use of discarded and natural materials, and she has participated in community-based projects focused on susta inability and craft. Her current research explores environmental themes through experimental printmaking processes, drawing on both her cultural heritage and her commitment to ecological awareness.
