Midnight Gallery

For artists

Open calls

Midnight Gallery creates accessible opportunities for local artists to exhibit work, share ideas, and connect with the Northwest Arkansas community.

Live open call

a room, once entered

a room, once entered takes inspiration from Daniel Hoffman’s 1965 poem “Entering doorways.” This group exhibition calls for local creatives to apply with visual art, poetry, or both.

While undergoing life’s many great changes, the rooms we inhabit shift all the same. Objects accumulate or disappear, furniture is placed or rearranged, light seeps through windows or darkness lingers. What makes a space ours? What makes it not?

We are searching for artists and poets who articulate the spaces we enter, inhabit, and depart from, reflecting our ever-evolving lived experience.

How open calls work

An open door for Northwest Arkansas artists

Midnight Gallery hosts group and solo or duo exhibitions featuring local artists, along with collaborative projects with community arts organizations.

Each year, we open several calls for entry: twice for themed group exhibitions and once for other exhibition projects. We welcome artists of all backgrounds and work to keep the application process accessible.
